HTC One X+ Getting Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Update Soon

HTC One X+ made its debut on the market back in November with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box.

Well, it appears that the Taiwanese company might already have Android 4.2 in the works. XDA developer Shen Yehas has just posted a picture on Google+ that was taken using the Photo Sphere feature integrated within HTC One X+.The EXIF data reveals that the HTC One X+ that was used to capture the picture is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system,

which is not yet available for the general public.Unfortunately, we cannot tell if this is a leaked official ROM or just an AOSP-based build cooked up recently. Either way, it’s good news for HTC One X+ owners who are likely to receive this upgrade in the coming months.

According to a leak for HTC, the HTC One X+, HTC One X+ LTE, HTC EVO 4G LTE and the HTC Droid DNA will all be receiving the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 update together with Sense 5.0 exactly like the HTC One. The HTC One of course is receiving the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update as of yesterday.

He also stated that the HTC EVO 4G LTE (Jewel), Droid DNA (DLX_WL), HTC One X+ (Evita) and HTC One X+ LTE (Evitare) will at some point all be updated to Jelly Bean 4.2 as well. As well as that the devices will also get updated to Sense 5.0 too. HTC have yet to confirm that any of this is true, but he has previously always been accurate.

Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC has officially confirmed that the HTC One S will no longer receive software updates such as Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and HTC Sense 5. The announcement obviously disappointed HTC One S owners since they will be stuck with the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and HTC Sense 4 update.

The HTC One S won't be getting neither Android 4.2 Jelly Bean nor Sense 5. This comes after a tweet by the head of HTC Russia, nearly a month ago, Android Smartphone confirming that technical issues were plaguing and endangering the roll out of the next set of goodies.

HTC is all set to update several of its smartphones with the latest version of Android and Sense user interface.  Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5.1 will be first available for HTC Butterfly which is called Droid DNA in United States. HTC has not officially made known as to which devices are going to receive the updates. Even the release dates for the updates are not known yet.

Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for the HTC One will start rolling out today, according to latest reports. HTC's flagship phone already comes loaded with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, but international HTC One owners may update their phones to the latest version,
